Schedule
An exhibit’s Schedule page in the Gumband UI.
The Schedule feature allows users to update exhibit settings or trigger exhibit controls ahead of time—either as one-time or recurring events. Scheduling can be helpful in setting up daily reboots, recurring routines, or en-masse content updates ahead of an important event.
The default view of the Exhibit Schedule tab is a calendar showing the current week of events. You may view past and future weeks using date navigation controls above the calendar. Standalone events appear on the calendar as blue, while recurring events appear as green.
Creating a New Event
The New Event sheet will appear after pressing the New Event button.
To add an event to your exhibit’s schedule, click the “New Event” button in the top-right corner of the Schedule page. In the sidebar that appears, you must provide a name and assign a date and time to the event (as well as recurrence options if needed).
In the Actions section, you may choose from your exhibit’s defined controls and settings to assign to your event.
Scheduled events occur at a single point in time, rather than over a duration. When a scheduled event updates a setting, that change remains in effect until the setting is updated manually or by another scheduled event.
Editing an Event
The Edit Event sheet with selected date and actions.
To edit an event, simply select an event on the calendar and the Edit Event sheet will open, allowing you to update any of that event’s options. For recurring events, you may select whether edits apply to all events of that series or only the selected instance.
Deleting an Event
To delete an event, select an event on the calendar and press the “Delete” button at the bottom of the Edit Event sheet. For recurring events, you may select whether all events of that series should be deleted or only the selected instance.
